Changes to Your Personal Information - You may request that we rectify any inaccurate and/or incomplete personal information. If we disagree and believe the information to be accurate and complete, we will advise you and include a notation on the record that you dispute the information’s accuracy. Deletion of Your Personal Information - Typically we retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. You may, however, request that we delete your personal information. All requests must be directed to the contact in the “Contact Information” section below. Identity Verification Process - Once the contact information has been provided we will contact the consumer to verify their identity using the data they provide. This information will be compared to the information in our databases for verification purposes. In addition to the contact information provided, we will ask for other information that might have been created when doing business with Shaw.
Authorized Agents - In order to qualify as an authorized agent, businesses or individuals will be required to submit the following documentation:
Business - a certificate of good standing with your state of incorporation, and a written authorization document that includes each consumer’s name, address, telephone number and valid email address, signed and dated by each consumer authorizing you, as the authorized agent, to act on behalf of each consumer in making the request. Individuals acting as an agent - A “power of attorney” signed and dated by the consumer and notarized by a notary public naming you as the consumer’s authorized representative, which includes the consumer’s full name, email, and physical address. Or we require a written authorization document that includes the consumer’s name, address, telephone number and valid email address, signed by the consumer authorizing you, as the authorized agent, to act on behalf of the consumer in making the request. In either case, Shaw Industries will then directly contact the consumer to begin the identity verification process.
